Estonian chess grandmaster wins more than $1 Million in a week on OlyBet Poker

One of the leading Estonian online players is currently on a hot streak. Ottomar Ladva last night won his fourth six-digit prize in the GGPoker World Festival tournament.

GGPoker World Festival (GGWF) is the biggest ever online poker series, running on the GGNetwork from May 1st to June 6th. And one OlyBet Poker player is taking advantage of this opportunity. Estonian chess grandmaster Ottomar Ladva last night won GGWF-42-S $10,300 Super MILLION$ High Roller event for a mind-blowing prize of $428,624. This is an amazing hit, but in fact, it is less than half Ottomar’s winnings in GGWF tournaments in a week.

GGWF-42-S $10,300 Super MILLION$ High Roller attracted 212 entries, and the total prize pool exceeded $2 million. In the end, it was Ottomar Ladva who won a heads-up battle vs. Ukraine’s Andrii Novak and scooped the top prize. The final table was full of poker stars, with Wiktor Malinowski taking the bronze, Ole Schemion finishing 4th, and Andrian Mateos exiting in 6th.

This was the second GGWF title for Ladva in just a few days, as on Sunday, he also won GGWF-50-S $25,500 Sunday Super High Roller for $237,753. This super-hi-stakes online event attracted 26 entries, and on the way to his victory, Estonian had to win a duel against Belorus’ Mikalai Vaskaboinikau.

Two more six-digit results came in the middle of last week. On Thursday, May 4th, Ottomar finished 2nd in GGWF-30-S: $10,300 Thursday Throwdown Bounty tournament, adding $112,787 to his OlyBet account balance. And on Tuesday, May 2nd, he also took the silver medal in GGWF-20-S: $10,300 Tuesday Classic Super HR, cashing for $127,290.
