Last Season

Speaking of last year’s experience, let’s take a look at how the inaugural CS2 Baltics event unfolded. A total of 52 teams signed up for the regional qualifiers, and the Last Chance qualifier attracted 40 entries. As the first large-scale Counter-Strike 2 event in the Baltics, the excitement surrounding it was palpable.

The final event was held in Riga at the impressive Splendid Palace venue. The combination of historical architecture and the modern energy of esports created a unique atmosphere that made the event truly special. Notably, Major MVP Justinas “jL” Lekavicius was also in attendance.

The home team, “Daugava,” featured the following roster:

  • Einārs “EIZA” Zarāns
  • Krists “msn” Kalniņš
  • Roberts “shield” Tipsis
  • Miks “Independent” Siliņš
  • Reinis “hyskeee” Grīnbergs

Unfortunately, the Latvian side faced a significant defeat at the hands of the Lithuanian team “Grindas,” losing the series 2-0 with map scores of 13-4 and 13-6. The lineup for “Grindas” was:

  • Rokas “BaGyZ” Kelpšas
  • Ovidijus “Sidivo” Miliauskas
  • Matas “MAGILA” Magila
  • Tomas “Prochas” Prochorenko
  • Ąžuolas “AwwEzz” Misevičius

On the other side of the playoffs, a battle unfolded between the Estonian team “sYnck” and the Lithuanian squad “LT5.” Although sYnck entered the tournament as clear favorites, they unexpectedly crashed out in the semifinals. The series ended 2-1, with map scores of 13-6, 17-19, and 6-13. The Estonian roster included:

  • Kristjan “fejtZ” Allsaar
  • Rassim “Jyo” Valijev
  • Enri “xezr” Jõgi
  • Rene “Wahtzz” Vahu
  • Egerti “eku” Kiisk

It was a thrilling all-Lithuanian final, much to the delight of the many Lithuanian fans who attended the event. In the end, the red-hot LT5 outmaneuvered Grindas, claiming the largest share of the prize pool, along with trophies and eternal glory as the winners of the inaugural OlyBet Sports Bar CS2 Baltics event. The champion lineup consisted of:

  • Emilis “spardaus” Blažys
  • Armandas “maty” Kneita
  • Vilius “tAk” Keserauskas
  • Albinas “tooi” Šeputis
