Ismailovas & Senkevič Hoist Trophies at the 2024 Kings of Vilnius
Two more Lithuanian champions were crowned on Tuesday after defeating players from other European countries heads-up at the inaugural 2024 Kings of Vilnius at Olympic Casino Lietuva.
Agnius Ismailovas was the first local player to win the title. He shipped the one-day Event #14: €555 PLO4/PLO5 Championship for €4,687 after defeating Poland’s Marcin Puczylowski heads-up.
Later in the day, Vladislav Senkevič denied Andreas Chalkiadakis a chance to bring home a trophy to Greece after winning the heads-up battle in the one-day Event #15: €250 NLH Turbo DeepStack for €5,916.
Read on to learn what transpired on Day 5 of the 2024 Kings of Vilnius:
Agnius Ismailovas Wins the €555 PLO4/PLO5 Championship
Event #14: €555 PLO4/PLO5 attracted 28 Omaha enthusiasts, creating a €13,440 prize pool. The event had more of an international feel than many of the other side events, with players from Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, and even Japan competing for the trophy alongside local players from Lithuania.
Flag hunter Yuri Ishida from Japan was in Vilnius with one goal: to get a flag from Lithuania on her The Hendon Mob profile. She will need to stick around for at least another day after striking out in both this event and the €250 NLH Turbo DeepStack.
Most of the other out-of-towners didn’t perform much better except for Poland’s Marcin Puczylowski, who managed to make money. Remigijus Politika was the first player to exit in the money with a fourth-place finish worth €1,880.
After Politka hit the rail, Agnius Ismailovas, Marcin Puczylowski, and Rimantas Bogužas agreed to a three-way deal. Ismailovas shortly after earned the trophy and the €4,687 top prize after Puczylowski exited in second place for €3,440 after Bogužas headed to the locker room in third place for €3,433.

It was looking possible for the trophy to fly off to another country, with just two Lithuanians left and five players to go. However, the dynamics changed after Lithuania’s Tomas Bassus hit the rail in third place, leaving a player from Lithuania, Vladislav Senkevič, facing off against Greece’s Andreas Chalkiadakis heads-up for the title. The duo agreed on a deal before Senkevič earned yet another trophy for Lithuania and the €5,916 top prize, while Chalkiadakis earned €4,090 for his runner-up performance.
