Kai Lehto Leads Final 10 in Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown €1,100 Main Event
What a week it has been at Olympic Park Casino and the adjoining Hilton Tallinn Park with the Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown setting records left and right. We aren’t done yet as the final day on Sunday, July 30 promises to bring an exciting conclusion to the festival with two more big events crowning winners including the Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown €1,100 Main Event.
The Main Event established a new summer record with 564 entries getting into the mix to create a €530,160 prize pool. While the top 71 players earned at least a min-cash of €2,000 the final day returns with 10 hopefuls for the title, each locking up at least a €6,300 payout with their eyes on the €108,260 top prize.
Kai Lehto will kick off the final day at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday with the chip lead after bagging up a 50 big blind stack of 3,020,000. Lehto’s claim to the title is far from a certainty with many other formidable players in the mix including Urmo Velvelt (2,665,000) and Tarmo Tammel (2,340,000) also in the top three to start the day. Velvelt has had some decent results in Tallinn and online while Tammel (pictured below) came into the Kings of Tallinn Summer showdown with a record of 68 recorded cashes at Olympic Park Casino according to The Hendon Mob.
Meanwhile, Mikael Haapaniemi, Magnus Pukk, Tomi Arponen, the entertaining Phil Gross, Nils Linden, Ville-Matte Keranen, and popular Finnish hero Tapio Altonen all are still in contention for the coveted trophy.
The action resumes with one-hour blind levels on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. with the final table broadcasted across a variety of channels including Olybet.tv., Facebook, and Delfi. You will also be able to follow the action in written form in our dedicated blog.
