Kimmo Kurko leads the OlyBet Holiday Special Main Event with 14 remaining
Finnish pro Kimmo Kurko is advancing to the final day of the inaugural OlyBet Holiday Special Main Event as a chip leader. Fourteen players will return today (Saturday, November 19th) at noon to play it out to the winner, who will get the title, the trophy, and €24K top prize.
Kimmo Kurko is the only player yet to break the 1-million mark with 1,100,000 chips. He is followed by a fellow fin Touko Berndtson with 849,000 and Estonia’s Marius Morel with 618,000 in tournament currency. You can find the complete list of remaining players and prizes here.
The OlyBet Holiday Special €550 Main Event attracted 139 unique players, who have entered the competition 212 times, raising a total prize pool to €101,760. There were 52 Estonians, 31 Lithuanians, and 28 participants from Finland. Both Latvia and Spain were represented by nine players, with Poland, Sweden, Ireland, Romania, Greece, and France also having their representatives.
On the second day, we witnessed the bubble phase, with 27 players making the money. The unlucky bubble boy Žygintas Stasiulevičius from Lithuania got his buy-in refunded into his GG Network account, as he was participating in the OlyBet Bubble Protection promo.
Together with the Main Event final, Saturday will see the €1,100 High Roller and €120 OlyBet Queen Special tournaments, in addition to several more side events. You can find a complete OlyBet Holiday Special schedule here. Keep in mind that the winners of every OHS non-satellite event with at least 13 unique players get a €1,100 Kings of Tallinn 2023 ticket as an additional prize.
