Team Challenge returns to Kings of Tallinn 2024: Autumn Edition

Kings of Tallinn unquestionably holds the crown as the premier poker festival in Northern Europe. Its enduring popularity stems from various factors, starting with an impressive lineup of nearly 60 numbered events running from the 18th of October to the 27th, designed to cater to every player’s preference. The festival’s prestigious venues—Olympic Park Casino and the luxurious Hilton Tallinn Park—further add to its appeal, offering round-the-clock cash game action for poker enthusiasts from all over the globe.

A standout feature distinguishing Kings of Tallinn from other poker festivals is the Team Challenge, a competition that has gained immense popularity among players. The best part? Entering the Team Challenge is completely free, and teams that register by 1 October 2024 will receive a custom team t-shirt at no additional cost. The prize pool for the Team Competition is generated by allocating 2% from the prize pools of all qualifying events at the Kings of Tallinn 2024: Autumn Edition.

How to enter the Team Challenge

1. Gather a team of four players and choose a team name.
2. Register your team using this link.
3. Earn points by participating in events and additional points by cashing in them.

This competition is all about team spirit, and we’re here to help. Teams that register by 1 October 2024 will receive a custom Kings of Tallinn 2024: Autumn Edition t-shirt with their team name proudly displayed.

Important deadlines

• Team registration remains open until 25 October, 16:15 local time.
• To earn points for a ranking event, your team must be registered before that event begins. The only exception is the Kings of Tallinn 2024: Autumn Edition Main Event, where team registration closes on Friday, 25 October 2024, at 16:15 local time.

Team Challenge payout structure

The top five teams will share a prize pool projected to reach at least five figures, with the winning team taking home 40%. Here’s a breakdown of the payouts:

• First place – 40%
• Second place – 25%
• Third place – 15%
• Fourth and fifth place – 10% each

All teams must consist of four players, and each player is required to participate in at least one ranking event. Please note that satellites, the Ladies Event, and events with fewer than 12 players are excluded from the Team Challenge.

Earning points

Players earn one point for participating in each qualifying event and additional points if they finish in the money. Here’s an example of how points are calculated:

• Buy-in: €315 + €35
• Unique entries: 210
• Re-entries: 80
• Total prize pool: 290 x €315 = €91,350. Divide €91,350 by 210 for a factor of €435.
• If the winner earned €18,270, you would divide this by €435, resulting in 42 points. Add 1 participation point for a total of 43 points.

A note on deal-making

While deal-making is allowed at Kings of Tallinn 2024: Autumn Edition, it will affect the points. For example, if two players agree to a deal, both will receive second-place points, regardless of who wins the trophy. In the case of a larger deal, such as a four-player arrangement, all participants will receive fourth-place points.
