Vassin, Morel, and Sandvik Win the Kings of Tallinn Titles on Saturday
The 2023 Kings of Tallinn has drawn in players from around the globe, with many more still to come, with the action still heating up. Saturday featured tons of action with an exciting buzz, with players enjoying a variety of cash games and tournaments.
Juri Vassin Leads Event #7: Kings of Tallinn €555 Championship
The €555 Championship kicked off the first of its four opening flights on Saturday with a banner field of 113 entries getting into action. This means it will be much bigger than last year’s affair, which attracted 193 entries. Australia’s Rasmus Sepping shipped last year’s event for €27,140, with this year’s edition shaping up to pay much more to the eventual winner.
Juri Vassin (211,500) and Gediminas Dirmantas (209,000) led the 50 survivors of the day and will get a few days off to play other events, with Day 2 resuming on Tuesday. Sunday will boast the second of the opening flights, with the final two opening flights taking place on Monday.

Local Hero Marius Morel Wins Event #8: €250 PLO4 8-Max
The first non-NLHE event took place on Saturday and proved to be popular, with a cool 100 entries getting into the mix in Event #8: €250 4-Card PLO 8-Max to create a €20,680 prize pool.
Local Estonian Marius Morel finished on the top of the pack after defeating Vesa Leikos heads-up en route to the title.

Espen Sandvik Wins Event #10: €250 NLH Progressive Bounty
Norway’s Espen Sandvik has done it once again. The 2019 WSOP Europe 8-Game bracelet winner once again was the last player standing after navigating through a field of 140 entries to win the €3,450 top prize + bounties.
Meanwhile, another player, well-known for their mixed-game prowess in Risto Ponnio, also finished near the top of the pack with a runner-up performance, with Arto Lehtonen also on the podium after bowing out in third place.
