Jarkko Suokas wins Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown €350 Opening Event (€13,100)

The poker action was sizzling hot on Saturday, July 22nd, at the Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown, held at our flagship venue, the Olympic Park Casino and the adjoining Hilton Tallinn Park. Players will enjoy the around-the-clock cash games at various stakes and games, and a jam-packed schedule of 53 numbered events. As it is summer in Estonia, the never-ending sunshine perfectly complements the poker action, making the Tallinn Summer Showdown the perfect poker holiday for recreational and professional poker players.

Jarkko Suokas earned the second trophy of the festival on Saturday after defeating a field of 194 entries including Joshua Dittmann heads-up to win Event #5: €350 DeepStack Opening Event. The juicy €13,100 top prize and the coveted trophy weren’t all that Suokas won as this event was a value-added affair awarding a ticket to the three-day €555 Championship that kicks off its first of three opening flights on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Event #3 €250 Mystery Bounty attracted 334 entries during the three opening flights with 110 players advancing into Sunday’s Day 2 with the action kicking off at 12 p.m. A pair of Tapio’s lead the two-day Event #3: €250 NLH Mystery Bounty heading into Day 2 with Tapio Aaltonen (183,500) and Tapio Vihakas (158,000) leading the way followed by

The excitement will kick up a few notches with the mystery bounties in play on Day 2 with a top bounty on the line of €5,000 for one lucky player. This is all on top of the €7,500 top prize on the line for Sunday’s trophy winner.

We are in for a treat on Sunday, July 23 as not only will we hear cheers of joy for the big mystery bounty pulls but also today will feature two of the three opening flights in the €555 Championship with Day 1a starting at 12 p.m. and Day 1b starting at 7 p.m. This event was a two-day affair in the past but was extended to three days after proving its popularity during the Kings of Tallinn in February when France’s Benjamin Gros defeated a field of 559 entries to win the €55,500 top prize.

In addition to the €250 Mystery Bounty playing down to its eventual winner, three other trophies will be awarded on Sunday in a handful of one-day events including Event #10: €150 Open Face Chinese (3 p.m.) and Event #11: €150 PL Omaha 4/5/6 (5 p.m.). Players will also enjoy two satellites including a €150 qualifier guaranteeing three seats into one of the events making its debut on our schedule in Friday’s one-day €5,000 NLH High Roller.
