Kings of Tallinn, Northern Europe’s biggest poker festival, is set to return in February
Northern Europe’s biggest poker festival, Kings of Tallinn, is set to return for its tenth year. The 2024 edition of the festival will take place from 23 February to 3 March at the Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel in the capital of Estonia. Over ten days, Kings of Tallinn 2024 will hold over 50 tournaments, including the Main Event, with a guaranteed prize pool of €500 000.
The festival is famous among top poker players worldwide and attracts thousands of players each year. In 2023, the total prize pool amounted to almost €2.2 million, of which the main tournament prize pool was €673,400. Last year’s Main Event had 716 buy-ins, and the first-place winner, Estonian poker player Priit Parmasto, took home €97,400. A year before, Adam Kharman from Australia won the Kings of Tallinn 2022 main event for €64,280.
The €1,100 buy-in Main Event will occur from 1 to 5 March. “The guaranteed prize pool is half a million euros, but hold onto your cards because we’re not just aiming to meet expectations—we’re on a mission to break our own record once again. Crushing the guarantee is our forte, and players will keep pushing for more, higher, and better. Previous years have proved that the Kings of Tallinn festival is recognised and respected among the world’s top players, but amateurs also enjoy it. We expect many participants in the coming events,” said Christer Larsson, OlyBet Group Poker Director.
In addition to the Main Event, the festival will feature over 50 poker tournaments in different formats and prize pools, such as the High Roller, the women-only Queens of Tallinn Special tournament and an Estonian Independence Day tournament. A unique celebrity tournament will occur on the evening of the 27th of February, where participants can play poker against several well-known Estonian and Finnish celebrities.
The festival, which has been running since 2015, is expected to attract over a thousand poker enthusiasts from over 30 countries this year, including the world’s top players from Finland, Sweden and Estonia.
