Mark Metsla wins OlyBet Holiday Special Warm Up for a total of €5,940
The inaugural OlyBet Holiday Special (OHS) festival began on Tuesday, November 15th. Estonia’s Mark Metsla won the first-ever OlyBet Holiday Special trophy and a payday of €4,290, plus €1,650 in added tickets.
The series started with Event #1: €60 Mega Satellite to the OHS Main Event with 10x €550 guaranteed tickets, and it has attracted 51 players, who invested a total of €5,390, so the organizers had to cover a small overlay when they awarded ten best players with OHS Main Event seats.
While the first fight for the trophy began at 20:00 when Event #2: €250 Warm Up began. After eight levels of late registration, the tournament clock showed 69 entries and €14,573 prize pool, but there was more on the line, as two more tickets were added for the eventual winner – €550 OHS Main Event seat and a €1,100 Kings of Tallinn 2023 ticket.
It was around 2:30 AM when the bubble busted, and the remaining nine players reached the money and the final table, yet it took two more hours to play it down to the winner. There were five Finnish contenders, but in the end, a local pro Mark Metsla ended up at the top after defeating his fellow Estonian Toomas Hunt heads-up.

Interesting fact that Toomas Hunt was also among ten players who won a €550 Main Event seat via live satellite yesterday. He decided to hop to the Warm Up event at the very last minute, which has paid off.
