Vilnius Ace Breaker festival to open tournament poker year in Baltics

Lithuania is up for the ambitious start of the poker year in the Baltics with the Vilnius Ace Breaker live poker festival, which will crowd Olympic Casino Vilnius from January 28th to February 5th. Arguably this should be the biggest poker series in Lithuania in at least a decade.

Lithuania’s gambling laws prohibit poker outside the casino, so previously the biggest local festivals were played on a maximum of 8 tables. Yet, in the autumn of 2021, the €250 Main Event of the Fisherman’s Challenge series attracted more than 900 entries and exceeded the €200K prize pool. This was the last bigger event in Lithuania, and the Vilnius Ace Breaker is aiming to beat those numbers. The festival will run on 15 tables simultaneously, while players can expect up to 18 tables to be open at peak moments.

The €555 Vilnius Ace Breaker Main Event will be a centerpiece of this festival. Still, there will be plenty of side action: 23 events in total, including €350 Progressive Bounty Warm Up Event and a prestigious €1,100 High Roller. You can find the full schedule at the end of this article.

And there is plenty of added value waiting to be taken. The winner of the €555 Vilnius Ace Breaker Main Event will receive a €1,100 seat for the Kings of Tallinn 2023 €500K GTD Main Event. The €1,100 High Roller champion, in addition, will get a ticket for the Kings of Tallinn 2023 €555 Championship event. And the winners of all non-satellite events during the Vilnius Ace Breaker series will get €110 tickets for the closing event of this series – €110 Mega Satellite to the Kings of Tallinn 2023 Main Event with 2x €1,100 seats GTD. This will be the second Kings of Tallinn 2023 satellite during the Vilnius Ace Breaker festival. The largest live poker festival in the North will take place in Tallinn, Estonia, from February 24th to March 5th and will be highlighted by a massive €500K GTD Main Event.

Yet, the Vilnius Ace Breaker should not disappoint either. Lithuania has quite a large poker community, and the local festivals always attract a solid crowd.
